Can you reapply if you weren't selected in the prior round?

Yes!

Do I use the same materials as when I applied before?

Is using the same materials setting myself up for failure since I did not receive the award?

Last year the application process was very competitive: we had 390 applications out of which to recognize 25 individuals as Artist Award recipients. There were many incredible applications and artists that we were not able to award in this process. We hope these artists will consider reapplying.

For many applicants, most of the materials you assembled for the prior round could still be relevant and worth resubmitting. BANF does not wish to create additional work or barriers to access.

That said, the all application processes is an opportunity for reflection and celebration of recent accomplishments. We encourage applicants to consider the guiding questions provided in the application worksheet to refine, clarify, or enhance your narrative, particularly informed by your experiences including the past 18 months.
