1. Contact your advocates and talk with them about the award, the criteria, and your request for an advocate statement of support. Share the Awards Guidelines with your advocates so you and your advocates both understand what is expected.
  2. Make sure you have the correct email addresses for your advocates. Ask your advocate to safelist [email protected], so emails are not flagged as junk.
  3. Gather your documents, answers to questions, audio or video files, and links to audio or video recordings. Check that your file types are acceptable for each submission. Check that your links to audio or video recordings are valid and are not restricted
  4. Open your Submittable application. Safelist [email protected] so emails are not flagged as junk.
  5. Save your work periodically as yo make your way through the application, for example at the end of each section that you complete. To save your work, scroll to the very bottom of the page to find the “Save Draft” button. You can return to your application anytime by logging back into your Submittable account.
  6. Let your advocates know when you have sent them a request from Submittable. You can check to see if your advocates have submitted their statements of support in your Submittable account. You can also resend your request using Submittable if necessary.
