The Cultural Treasure Accelerator (CTA) initiative aims to support BIPOC-led, BIPOC-serving arts and culture organizations by catalyzing their capacity for resilience and stability. Through a one-time opportunity-fund grant and a peer network, CTA builds a network of organizations that support their communities and Houston in celebrating, advocating for, and strengthening our communities of color.

The grant supports projects or initiatives that accelerate the organization’s progress toward manifesting its vision and energizing its world-building. Proposed projects can include visioning support, active research, pilot initiatives, or next-stage programming initiatives that support an organization’s deepening its roots or growing its branches.

The twelve-month network experience will consist of monthly gatherings for resource sharing and generative dialogue.

Awardees recognized in the CTA initiative will receive a $20,000 grant and a 12-month network experience as tools to accelerate resilience and stability. Within the 12-month grant period,
