Community storytellers are expected to be involved in various aspects of the evaluation and observing process, including:

  • Available for onboarding retreat (December 16 & 17 or January 13 & 14, 9 am - 5 pm) This will include training to prepare for the evaluation, which encompasses meeting facilitation, participatory evaluation concepts (e.g., Outcome Harvesting), and the use of evaluation tools.
  • Capacity to dedicate an average of 1 to 1.5 days per week for the 18-month learning period. (Some periods will require more hours, some less)
  • Available to facilitate cohort meetings with BANF collaborators while also gathering data from a select group of BANF collaborators, partners, and organizations.
  • Reporting findings to BANF leadership.


The workload may vary throughout the year, but an estimated commitment of one to one and a half days per week is anticipated.
