Are non-Black and non-Latino applicants eligible to apply?

Yes. The 2023 Artist Award invites all artists and creatives who self-identify as Black, Indigenous, Latino/x, Asian Pacific Islander, Middle Eastern, or mixed heritage (BIPOC). We aim to support the diverse communities of Houston and the artists who come from those diverse communities.

How will our applications be reviewed?

All applications will be reviewed by community readers and a selection of our Community Consultants.
