The Cultural Treasure Accelerator initiative is a multi-component experience aimed at strengthening the futures of an essential component of Greater Houston’s thriving Arts Ecosystem: BIPOC-serving, small- and mid-sized arts and culture organizations.

Each component aims to build opportunities to articulate and manifest a thriving existence for the organizations and their communities.

  • $20,000 one-time grant to support planning and project expenses that accelerate the organization’s self-defined future.
  • A Creative Risk Fund that makes up to $5,000 per CTA organization available to support bold, adaptive, creative experimentation.
  • Monthly peer network gatherings that build a mutually supportive resource network of peer organizations and BIPOC leaders.
  • Evaluation and Learning work that connects success and progress narratives of each organization to the broader culture shifts and systems change work.
